3rd Movie Trailer - The Last Airbender Movie

The Last Airbender Movie - The latest trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender goes heavy on the plot. Special individuals can control the elements, the clans based off the different elements are going to war, and it’s up to the last airbender (Noah Ringer) to save the world from destruction. But more than the plot, I think the biggest stand out is that Last Airbender may have some cool fight scenes. I’m not sure about all the other big special effects, but Shyamalan may have figured a way to take the abilities of the individual characters (air, water, earth, fire) and use them for some cool showdowns.

The new trailer puts the “3D” stamp on the film that was announced yesterday. However, it only has two months to make the conversion and that could lead to the lousy-looking 3D we saw with Clash of the Titans. However, unlike Clash director Louis Leterrier, Shyamalan will be overseeing the conversion process. Nevertheless, the film wasn’t made with 3D in mind and Shyamalan now has to quickly figure out how to apply it to his movie. Hit the jump to check out the new trailer along with the official synopsis. The Last Airbender hits theaters on July 2nd.

Watch this movie, The Last Airbender Movie on July 2, 2010, but before this will hit the theaters, you have to Watch Iron Man 2 Movie Online, don't miss it guys.

Jackson Rathbone On Keeping Busy With 'Twilight,' 'The Last Airbender' And 'Girlfriend'

The Last Airbender Movie - FROM HOLLYWOOD CRUSH: Jackson Rathbone has been working his butt off this year, though most of what he's been working on wont be seen by the public until 2010. He finished filming M. Night Shyamalan's "The Last Airbender" and "New Moon" earlier this year, is completing his final two weeks of filming for "Eclipse" right now, and when we caught up with him last week, was working the dual roles of producer and actor on his indie flick, "Girlfriend." Oh yeah, and hes in the process for gearing up for a 100 city tour with his band, 100 Monkeys.

"I just want to work. I don't sleep," Jackson admitted with a laugh.

That was literally the case when we met up with him last week. Both he and bandmate/co-"Girlfriend" star and producer Jerad Anderson had hopped a plane from Vancouver the night before and started working when they landed. He said when he wrapped filming on "Girlfriend," he would jump on a plane back to Vancouver and pick up filming on "Eclipse" again.

Another 'Breaking Dawn' Director To Consider: M. Night Shyamalan

The Last Airbender Movie - Summit Entertainment is clearly gearing up to get moving on "Breaking Dawn," the final entry in the "Twilight" (which still may or may not be released in two parts). There was a lot of talk over the last week or two about potential directors, with the names Gus Van Sant, Sofia Coppola, Bill Condon and Stephen Daldry all coming up as short-list possibilities. I put those options to a vote last week: Coppola got 40%, Van Sant got 27%, Condon got 18% and Daldry got 15%. So no clear majority.

Well I'm here today to make things even more confusing. This isn't an official possibility on the table for Summit -- as far as we know -- but a noteworthy filmmaker professed his love for Stephenie Meyer's vampire series in a chat on the Kid's Choice Awards red carpet over the weekend: M. Night Shyamalan.

"I would've loved to be-- I love the series, and Catherine [Hardwicke's] movie, it was one of my favorite movies of that year," he said. "Really, I thought tonally, it was a perfect movie. I called her up after I saw 'Twilight' and was like 'That was amazing.' So I'm a big fan."

Shyamalan just recently worked with "Twilight" star Jackson Rathbone on "The Last Airbender," a live-action adaptation of the popular Japanese anime series "Avatar: The Last Airbender." That movie hits theaters this summer, on July 2. Shyamalan is known for frequently screwing with viewers' heads in hits like "The Sixth Sense" and "Unbreakable"; "Airbender" is a first for him, a big-budget, studio adaptation.

My own opinions of him as a filmmaker are mixed, but I've never claimed to be a "Twilight" expert. So I want to hear from you. Do you think Shyamalan is a good person for Summit to consider in weighing possible "Breaking Dawn" directors? Do you agree with his assessment of "Twilight" as "tonally" perfect? Would you pick him over the other directors whom we know are in the running?

Title Change to Avatar The Last Airbender

I'm sure many of you are wondering what is the original title for the movie Avatar the Last Airbender?

Guys, check the Avatar the Last Airbender Promo Pictures and also watch the Last Airbender Movie Trailer. Watch out for more updates, photos and information about the Avatar the Last Airbender Movie here.

Avatar Character - Zuko

Zuko - is a Firebender, born as a prince in the Fire Nation royal family. His story often paralleled that of the Avatar Aang. Initially an antagonist, Zuko's life revolved around trying to capture the long-lost Avatar to end his banishment to regain his honor as Crown Prince of the Fire Nation.

Zuko is easily recognized by the characteristic burn scar on the left side of his face given to him by his abusive father, Fire Lord Ozai shortly before his banishment. On his journey to capture the Avatar, he is assisted by his uncle Iroh in Firebending training.

Prince Zuko is played by Dev Patel in Avatar the Last Airbender Movie, a 16-year-old prince who travels with his uncle and tries to capture the Avatar in order to regain his honor and position as heir to the Fire Nation throne.

Avatar Character - Katara

Katara - is a Waterbender that, just like her older brother Sokka, was born and raised in the Southern Water Tribe and raised by her grandmother, Kanna. Katara was the last Waterbender in her Tribe, and led a normal teenage life until she discovered an Air Nomad named Aang frozen in a block of ice. When she finds out he is none other than the Avatar Aang, lost for a hundred years, she becomes hopeful that he is the one who will save the war-torn world. Katara and her brother leave their Tribe behind to travel with Aang, helping him to finally put a stop to the Fire Nation's devastation.

In Avatar The Last Airbender Movie Online, Katara is played by Nicola Peltz, a 14-year-old and the last remaining waterbender from the Southern Water Tribe. She is Aang's good friend and love interest.

Avatar Character - Aang

Avatar Aang - an Air Nomad, is the current Avatar, the manifestation of the world in human form, and thus the only person in the Avatar world who can use all four bending disciplines: Airbending, Waterbending, Earthbending and Firebending. He is also one of the few Avatar to use Energybending, and the only one to use it during the series.

Aang is played by Noah Ringer, a 12-year-old, though technically 112, "Avatar" whose duty it is to protect the world. He is capable of bending all four elements, though at the beginning of the film he has only learned to airbend. He is fun-loving and carefree and gets distracted with fun which affects his responsibilities.
